I fell for the magic of books and words at a very young age and have been in love ever since. Paper, pencils and writing by hand. Or pounding the keys with a pile of books nearby for inspiration…all the things!

Being a maker of poems or stories—or anything really—can be a messy business with lots of failures and unfinished paragraphs along the way. But when you finally make a poem or story, draw a picture or pull a print and something real happens, it’s a feeling like no other. That’s what keeps me coming back.
